Michael Derrick

Michael was born and raised in McKinney, Texas. He earned his undergraduate degree in philosophy from University of North Texas before going on to receive his Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis.

While in law school, Michael discovered his passion for defending individuals facing criminal charges. He began developing that passion as a law clerk with the St. Louis County Public Defender’s Office and later clerked with public defender offices in Dallas and Washington, D.C..

Licensed to practice law for more than a decade, Michael has worked with some of the most respected criminal defense firms in Texas. Today, he remains deeply committed to protecting his clients’ rights, fighting for the best possible outcomes, and helping them move forward with their lives.
